Nut & cocoa cream (no-butter) cake

How to make a super soft cake without butter? Here is the answer!

If you want you children to eat healthy food, you can try this easy and delicious recipe for a fluffy breakfast cake. I’ve chosen nut & cocoa cream but, if you prefer, it’s perfect with jam or custard as well!

 

SERVES 6 PEOPLE
READY IN 1h 10’

 

INGREDIENTS

3 eggs

1 cup sugar

 

½ cup seed oil

½ cup milk

 

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

 

Nut & cocoa cream to taste (I used Rigoni’s)

 

 

STEP 1: BEAT THE EGGS

Using an electric beater, beat well eggs + sugar until smooth (it takes ab. 5-6 minutes).

 

STEP 2: ADD OIL AND MILK

Add, little by little, oil and milk.

 

STEP 3: ADD DRY INGREDIENTS

Sift the flour, combine it with baking powder and add it to the mixture.

 

STEP 4: ADD THE CREAM

Place the mixture in a baking tin covered with parchement paper. Now add spoonsfull of cream on it  (I place ab. 10 spoons).

 

STEP 5: COOK

Cook the cake in preheated oven at 180°C for 55 minutes.
