Chocolate plumcake

It’s because of Claudia.

We were teens when so used to cook this delicious sweet for birthdays. And I really  appreciated it: soft, lightly wet and chocolate-flavored.

Thanks to my close friend, who today is a beautiful mum, we’re having a great breakfast!

SERVES 6 PEOPLE
READY IN 55’

 

INGREDIENTS

6 oz butter at room temperature

6 oz sugar

 

3 eggs

6 oz all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 pinch salt

½ glass milk

4 tablespoons cocoa powder

½ dark chocolate bar

 

Butter and all-purpose flout to taste

 

 

STEP 1: BEAT THE BUTTER

Using an electric beater, beat butter + sugar until smooth (it takes ab. 5-6 minutes).

 

STEP 2: ADD THE OTHER INGREDIENTS

Add the eggs one at a time, then the flour, baking powder and salt. Mix well then add milk and cocoa powder. Finally add chopped chocolate.

 

STEP 3: COOK

Brush a plumcake mold with butter at room temperature and sprinkle with flour. Now puor the cake mixture into the mold and cook the cake in preheated oven at 180°C for 40 minutes.
