Hot dog mummies

A funny and very very quick recipe for your Halloween party! I’m warning you: don’t make any noise by preparing it, or mummies wake up!!

READY IN 15’

 

INGREDIENTS

6 Vienna sausages (or hot dog)

 

1 puff pastry sheet

 

1 beaten egg yolk + pinch salt

 

Pine nuts to taste

 

 

STEP 1: LET’S START WITH VIENNA SAUSAGES

Wash Vienna sausages with water. Make a 3-4 cm cut on each Vienna sausage to create mummy legs.

 

STEP 2: WRAP THE VIENNA SAUSAGES

Cut the puff pastry into thin strips (about 1 cm) then wrap the dough around each Vienna sausage to make them look like little mummies.

 

STEP 3: COOK THE MUMMIES

Place the mummies on a baking sheet covered with baking paper. Brush the mummies with salted yolk. Cooke the mummies in preheated oven at 250°c for 8-10 minutes.

 

STEP 4: ADD “THE EYES”

Add two pine nuts to create the eyes of your mummy!
