Stuffed tomatoes ISTEPbySTEP

I fell in love with them a few years ago, when I tried them at the restaurant for the first time. From that moment on, I decided to make them by myself and this is the result! Tender and crspy at the same time with delicious “taggiasche” olives in the filling.

MAKES 5 BITES
READY IN 25′

INGREDIENTS

5 tomatoes

2 tablespoons breadcrumbs

1 tablespoon Grana cheese

2 basil leaves

ab. 10 “taggiasche” olives

2 tablespoons olive oil

salt and pepper to taste

oil to taste

STEP 1: PREPARE THE TOMATOES

Wash and dry tomatoes, then divide them in two parts and “dig” the biggest one placing the insides in a colander.

STEP 2: MAKE THE FILLING

In a bowl mix: tomatoes insides, breadcrumbs, Grana cheese, basil leaves, chopped olives, oil, salt and pepper.

STEP 3: FILL

Dry tomatoes with paper towel, then fill them with the filling prepared on step 2. Place filled tomatoes on parchment paper brushed with oil.

STEP 4: COOK

Cook tomatoes in preheated oven at 200°C for 15 minutes.

A PIECE OF ADVICE: you can prepare filled tomatoes in advance and cook them at the last minute.
