Baked cauliflower gratin

I was wondering how to cook the left cauliflower standing into the refrigerator in a practical, easy way and I said to myself: “Well, what about seasoning and put it in the oven without boiling it?”

Ladies and gentlemen: it works!!

Excellent and above all it cooks itself, giving you the chance to do something else during the cooking time! (ab 30 min).

I opted for a simple simple dressing based on breadcrumbs, Parmigiano cheese and oil, but you can literally add whatever you like: spices and aromatic herbs!

Here’s how to make it:

SERVES 3-4 people
READY IN 45’

INGREDIENTS:

1 cauliflower

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

1 teaspoon lemon juice

Salt and Pepper to taste

2 tablespoons breadcrumbs

2 tablespoons Parmigiano cheese

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

STEP 1: SLICE THE CAULIFLOWER

Divide the cauliflower florets trying to get more or less equal bites.

Wash the florets thoroughly and then remove excess water.

STEP 2: SEASON

Season the cauliflower bites with oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper and mix.

STEP 3: COOK

Place the cauliflower on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 30 minutes.

STEP 4: ADD THE REMAINING INGREDIENTS

Mix breadcrumbs, Parmigiano and oil in a bowl.

Sprinkle the mixture on the cauliflower and cook for 10 more minutes, raising the oven temperature to 250 °C.
