Rose savory pie: cream cheese, zucchini and basil filled

Simple, incredibly simple and so fragrant!

That’s my savory pie: quick and easy to make!

You can make it entirely at home or, like I did, use a ready-made pizza crust ahead of time;

just add the filling, cut the dough into strips, roll it up, and you’re done!

I chose zucchini, basil, and cream cheese, but let your imagination run wild here. Ready to get creative with your own versions?

SERVES 3-4 people

INGREDIENTS:

200 g cream cheese

10-15 basil leaves

1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

salt to taste

2-3 zucchini

salt ot taste

pizza dough

2 tablespoons Parmigiano cheese

STEP 1: MAKE THE FILLING

Place in a bowl: cream cheese, basil leaves, oil and salt.

Blend for a few seconds with an immersion blender to get a cream (if you don’t have a blender, you can simply cut basil leaves into strips and combine them with the rest of the ingredients).

STEP 2: SLICE THE ZUCCHINI

Wash the zucchini, then trim off the ends.

Using a vegetable peeler, thinly slice them lengthwise.

STEP 3: FILL

Unroll the pizza dough, keeping it on the baking paper provided (if you made the pizza dough yourself, roll it out with a rolling pin into a rectangular shape and a thickness of just under 1 cm).

Spread the entire surface (be careful: even the edges!) with the basil cream,

Arrange the raw zucchini slices together with a pinch of salt.

Very carefully, cut the filled pasta into about ten strips of the same width

then roll them up to create snails.

Place the snails on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper (the same one you had is fine!)

STEP 4: BAKE

Sprinkle the pie with Parmigiano cheese, then bake in a preheated oven at 220°C for approximately 20 minutes.
