Turmeric chicken skewers STEPbySTEP

I open the fridge and I see it in front of me: the chicken breast!

How to cook it if I have no time but I’d like something tasty…? And then the proverbial  light bulb went on:  turmeric!!!

 

SERVES 2-3 PEOPLE
READY IN 30′

 

INGREDIENTS

1 chicken breast (or 4 slices)

 

3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

1 tablespoon seed oil

1 teaspoon onion, chopped

2 tablespoons lemon juice

1 teaspoon turmeric powder

Salt, pepper and rosemary chopped to taste.

 

 

STEP 1: SLICE THE CHICKEN

Slice chicken into strips.

 

STEP 2: MARINATE

In a bowl mix: extra virgin olive oil, seed oil, onion, lemon juice, turmeric, rosemary, salt and pepper. Beat the mixture well with a fork, then deep the chicken strips. Cover the bowl with cling film and let it rest into the fridge for 15-20 minutes (if you’re not late let it rest for 1 hour).

 

STEP 4: STICK THE STRIPS

Stick meat strips into long toothpicks, then place them on a parchment paper sheet.

 

STEP 5: COOK

Cook the chicken skewers on a hot george foreman grill (covered with an alluminium sheet) on both sides for about 5-6 minutes!
